Hey folks!
Happy turkey week to our US-based bad asses!
We’re at the business end of our November book Upstream from Dan Heath, and what an incredible and eye opening read it has been. We’ve never been more pumped to solve upstream challenges than we are right now!
And the next challenge to solve of course is what the hell we’re gonna read in December!?
With the holiday’s approaching, we thought we’d make it easy for you to put some time aside for reading by the fire with some egg nog or bubbles by nominating three books that almost made the cut in 2025.
We’ve got 3 wonderful female author’s to select from for December who’s book are classic hits - we can’t go wrong. Each of these books was a very close runner up in the month they were nominated so we think they’re worth another vote.
Scroll down to make your selection count.
And don’t forget, our Book club call is happening tomorrow (Tuesday 25th). Secure your spot now so you don’t miss it!
And if you’re not yet one of our Bad Ass Bookworms, now is a great time to become one!
You’ll get access to voting, be invited to our private Bad Ass Bookshelf Discord server AND be able to attend all of our monthly Book Club calls + author chats.

﹅ The shortlist
It’s time to choose our December read. We’ve pulled together three of this year’s runner ups, each bringing a different flavour of leadership and personal growth. Have a browse, see what sparks your interest, and cast your vote for what we should dive into next month.

1. Dare to Lead by Brené Brown
A call to step up, be brave, and lead with heart. Brené Brown digs into what real courage looks like in the workplace and why vulnerability is not a weakness but a superpower. Expect stories, tools, and plenty of honest reflection on how to build stronger teams, healthier cultures, and a leadership style that actually inspires people.

2. The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins
A simple idea with a surprisingly big impact: stop overcontrolling, stop overthinking, and let people be who they are. Mel Robbins unpacks how this small mindset shift can reduce stress, calm your inner critic, improve relationships, and free up energy for what matters. If you want something practical that instantly changes how you show up day to day, this one will speak to you.
